Today we start our day by visiting Hercules Caves, The popular tourist spot in Tanger. It’s an archaeological cave complex in Tanger. The cave is located at Cape Spartel where the Atlantic Ocean meets the mediterranean. After we continue and drive to Rabat. On the way, we will make a stop at Asilah, it’s a small city in the coast with nice beach that attracts lot of people in summer. It’s medina is small and has some colorful streets. Subsequently, we head the road to Rabat through one of the most important agriculture fields in Morocco.
Rabat – Fes
After Breakfast, we will visit the most important sights in Rabat. We will see Oudaya Kasabah situated at the mouth of Abou Regreg river. It was built at the 12th Century by Almohades for security reasons. We will also see Mausoleum Mohammed V along with the Tower Hassan. The last one was built at the end of the 12th century and was intended to be the biggest mosque in the world at that time. But when Abu Yusuf Yaqub al-Mansur passed away, the construction stopped.
