Day 1: Fes – Ifran – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast at your hotel, start our desert trip from Fes. After about an hour and half we arrive to Ifran. It’s a small nice city in the Middle Atlas. The city is referred to as “the switzerland of Morocco” and its name in Berber means caves. After a short stop there, we continue to the cedar forests in Azrou where we might see the Barbary Macaque in their natural habitat. After that, continue via Midelt crossing the Tizi-n-Talghamet. Soon, we will be driving along the Ziz Gorges which offers spectacular views, and is an old volcanic area. We will stop at the Ziz valley to see a spectacular panoramic view of the valley and palm groves. Continue via Berber villages and Erfoud before we arrive to Merzouga Sahara desert.

DAY 2: Sahara exploring and camel ride

After breakfast, you will be exploring the Moroccan Sahara. First, we will visit Khamlia, which is the village of Gnaoua people. It’s said that they came from Sudan and other sub-saharian countries. Then in order to know them, we will share a cup of mint tea with them, and listen to their unique music. Our desert trip from Fes enables you to try Medfouna, the Berber Pizza at one of the restaurants there, during this desert exploring day. After that, we will be back to the villages to start your camel trekking to your desert camp. This is a special day of this desert trip from Fes as you we will spend a night at a beautiful equipped camp.

DAY 3: Merzouga -Todra Gorges -Dades Gorges

Today, you can wake up early to see what might be the best sunrise from over Erg Chebbi dunes. As the sun rises, you will notice a change of the dunes colors to create an incredible scenery. After showering and breakfast, return back to the village , and get prepared to start today’s journey which includes Tinghir, and the amazing Todra Gorges. It’s a wonderful milestone river canyons with high cliffs, extremely spectacular views and famous area for climbing . After lunch, we will continue to the Dades Valley, where we will stay a night, after we see the special rock formations referred to as Monkey Toes.

DAY 4: Dades Gorges – Skoura – Ouarzazate

After breakfas at your hotel, we will drive to the Rose Valley at Kelaat Mgouna. There, you will have a chance to explore a women rose co-operative to see where they make rose water, rose oil and other local stuff made from the extract of roses. We’ll continue to visit the palm grove at Skoura oasis which is called the road of one thousand Kasbah. Then, we will head to Ouarzazate which is called the Hollywood of Morocco. You’ll see Taourirt Kasbah, the Atlas film studios, and check in to your hotel.

DAY 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After  breakfast, start driving to visit the most famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. It’s a UNESCO world heritage sight where many movies were filmed like Gladiator, Game Of Thrones…etc. So we will make a visit to explore this nice Kasbah (castle) which is also a great example of the architecture of The South Morocco. Moreover, we can have lunch at the village by the Kasbah and then drive to cross the Mountains of the high Atlas to Marrakesh.
